Franchising is a particular business model that is not suited to everyone. Franchisors look for a group of individuals known as “Intrapreneuers”.
These individuals understand that being a franchisee requires strict adherence to the operational system that has been created by the franchisor. As consistency is the key to success in the franchise industry every franchise must offer the exact same customer experience to each client. After all, no matter where you go-a Big Mac is a Big Mac.
While there may be differences in personal style in the delivery of the product or service, franchisees cannot modify or change any of the operational elements on their own without franchisor prior approval. Remember, you buy a franchise because the ‘system’ has been proven, so your success is based on implementation and operation of your business in accordance with your franchisor’s standards, values and philosophy.
